The DL580-5 wheel loader and DX800LC-7 crawler excavator stood out among Doosan's latest offerings

Doosan Infracore North America introduced a variety of new machines to the construction market at ConExpo-Con/Agg 2020 in Las Vegas.

Among the new equipment Doosan displayed on the show floor, the DL580-5 wheel loader and DX800LC-7 crawler excavator stood out.

According to Doosan, the DL580-5 wheel loader offers customers a two-pass fill wheel loader for over-the-road, 24-ton capacity trucks, improving operational efficiency, and reducing load-out cycle times. The wheel loader is capable of heavy-duty construction tasks. This model is able to move large amounts of abrasive material while providing operators with comfort and increased uptime. The DL580-5 also serves the operator and owner with its efficiency of offering the two-pass fill and bucket selections that are made to last through harsh material handling tasks.

Doosan says a key feature of the new DL580-5 wheel loader is its ability to fill a 24-ton, over-the-road truck in just two passes. Also, the wheel loader is equipped with an enhanced front work group that features a reinforced Z-bar, a larger profile arm, and lift cylinder geometry that work together to improve lifting capacity and performance. To pair with the new DL580-5 wheel loader, owners can choose from three new aggregate buckets that can be utilized with this machine to maximize material moving rates. Their SAE heaped capacities include 8, 9 and 10 cu yd.

The new Doosan DX800LC-7 crawler excavator was paired with a 6.1-cu-yd bucket at ConExpo. It is the biggest model in the company’s excavator lineup. The DX800LC-7 may be operated on very large construction projects—particularly at infrastructure jobsites—where a massive amount of material needs to be excavated and stockpiled or loaded into trucks to be moved. With this extension of its excavator line, Doosan offers machines from 3.5 metric tons to 80 metric tons to serve a wide spectrum of customer needs and applications. The Tier 4-compliant DX800LC-7 is scheduled to be available in North America in late 2020.
